GOT QUESTIONS?

Please do NOT use our 800 order taker.  This is contracted with Barb at a neighboring business and she CANNOT answer questions on availability, release dates or product features.  Barb is paid for WRITING UP ORDERS and your “free phone call” will cost us $1.50 or more gaining no information for you. Folks who did this and expected us to phone back have typically given us numbers where we talked to an answering machine or “he is out of the office.”  In short—that number is for FIRM ORDERS ONLY PLEASE.

Boss Merle personally reads emails each morning and responds. EASY ORDERING

YARDSALE ITEMS- please confirm availability by email (see address above). We will then hold the item a few days awaiting your order.  Yardsale items are NOT in the website shopping cart.  Please use message subject YARDSALE AVAILABILITY in your email. In some cases we will give a second reply pending physical confirmation during the reorganization of our warehouse storage.

GRAND RIVER ITEMS - because of the option range and limited time of availability these items are not in the website shopping cart. They may be ordered by any of our other options

YOU MAY ORDER BY

MAIL – yes, many still prefer it.  Our address is Model RR Warehouse PO Box 411, Roanoke, IN 46783 USA.   Please include your email address and phone number. List  each item’s MANUFACTURER, CATALOG NUMBER and ITEM DESCRIPTION  to avoid errors (yours or ours). Do not mail cash or credit cards, please.

·          Visa or Master card send account number, expiration date, validation number (on back) and name of cardholder. Your card information will ONLY be held on file if ordering future releases and charged when they are shipped.  Current items shipped promptly. D

·         CHECK  to cover merchandise and shipping charges. Shipment will follow in about two weeks after check clears your bank. Please note: with web banking you may know it has cleared  many days sooner than we can know it.

·         MONEY ORDER  to cover merchandise and shipping will result in prompt shipment.

·         PAYPAL  we may request remittance by internet if you give us your email address. Email payments MUST be sent to   sales (a) mrrwarehouse.com

PHONE- we contract with Craftsman Lithograph/Gray Dove to take phone orders during normal business hours M-F  8-4 Eastern (same time zone as New York). In USA 1-800-672-8762 Foreign 1-260-672-8762.   Barb will need your credit card info, complete item info (as noted above); Shipping address (and cardholder address if different); phone or email address. Your card will be charged when shipment is made.

WEB SHOPPING CART  our web shopping cart transmits payment by Paypal allowing you use of credit cards.  The site displays the security padlock symbol as assurance to you. Your computer MUST allow cookies- they keep your order address and payment information all connected.  YARDSALE and GRAND RIVER items are not listed in our cart.  Some most recent updates (in our “Working on RR” update file) may not be yet posted there either. Shopping cart orders charge your credit card at the time order is placed.

EMAIL  orders  can be accepted with secure payment by Paypal. Do NOT send credit card info in an unsecure  email message .  Please correspond AND REMIT to sales (a) mrrwarehouse.com. Paypal charges your credit card, Paypal account  or bank at time order is placed.

All sales are final. Yardsale items carry no warranty other than our reputation for honest and accurate descriptions. New merchandise from other website pages is warranted by manufacturer.  Contact us by email or mail regarding our own products ( Cannonball, LTD Series, Signature Series, or Hometown). Scroll down for further information on shipping damage or procedures in case of other warranty claims. If you need manufacturer contact info please email us (do not phone).

SHIPPING

USA We ship most  orders by insured priority mail. Our minimum shipping and handling  charge for this is $9.00.  Total charge is determined by destination, insurance and weight.  Small items (decals, small parts)may be shipped insured BY FIRST CLASS MAIL to save you money. Our minimum charge for this is $5.00.

CANADA is shipped by priority mail or first class mail (under 2 lb) . Minimum charge is same as USA.  Shipment is uninsured by these means. We can ship UPS at much higher rates. We notify you of customs ticket number by email so that you may request package tracing from you postal service.

OTHER FOREIGN  We regularly ship to Australia, New Zealand,  Japan, Great Britain, continental  Europe and occasionally elsewhere using uninsured first class mail or priority mail (minimal insurance) . Minimum priority mail shipment is $19 (for many single kits). First class (air) mail is used for smaller, lighter shipments with a minimum charge of $10.00. Additional charge, if any, is determined by weight, destination and any special packaging or currency exchange charges. We can ship UPS at much higher rates.  We notify you of customs ticket number by email so that you may requests tracing by your postal service.

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN varies on YARDSALE page products. All product lines we distribute are made in USA with exception of Grand River products (Assembled in Canada from US made parts) and Oregon Rail signal bridges (China) and depot kit.

WARNING:

The products on this website are intended for use by adult hobbyists. Not for children  12 years or under.  The use of paints and glues requires adequate ventilation and adherence to safety precautions of their respective manufacturers. Many hobby tools require eye protection or other safety precautions as indicated by their respective manufacturers.  Products on this werbsite include small parts that may cause choking if ingested.  Some products include parts made of lead, brass or plastics that have been determined by the State of California to cause cancer or other health concerns. Do not ingest their dust   

WARRANTY and SHIPPING DAMAGE

RETURNS All sales are final. In the event of shipping damage on insured shipments please hold all packaging materials for possible inspection by the carrier. Notify the carrier and us to initiate your claim. We cannot be responsible for damage or loss of uninsured shipments.

 All product lines we carry have factory warranty. Any missing or defective parts should be reported directly to the kit manufacturer.  Do not return items unless the manufacturer so directs. It is impossible for any source except the manufacturer to inventory all ingredients for every kit to assist you with other part requests.   Partially constructed kits and modeling errors are not the responsibility of manufacturers.  Consignment items in the Yardsale-Irish Auction are sold "as is" . We strive to describe them honestly for you but cannot embark on "piececount" inventory of them.

DEALER TERMS

Retail Model Railroad, Rail museum gift shops  and Hobby Shops which are listed in the “yellow pages” or dealer directories of nationally distributed hobby magazines; “Brick and Mortar”or stocking (not “drop shipping”)_Internet dealers maintaining a retail website listing our products and custom builders advertising in consumer magazines or maintaining appropriate websites may order products distributed by Model Railroad Warehouse at these dealer terms.  Stores not meeting these qualifications must provide evidence of properly licensed retail operations open to and soliciting public patronage. Acceptance is at our sole discretion.

No new open accounts are being established. All sales are final, no returns.  Products are warranted by their respective manufacturers. Submit Company check with order to cover merchandise and shipping.  Orders paid by Paypal or bank credit cards will be assessed a 5% convenience fee (minimum fee $3.00).  .Dealer orders submitted using our website shopping cart will receive Paypal refunds of the appropriate amount after discount, shipping and convenience fee. No minimum order.  Minimum shipping charges per shipment :   in USA:  UPS $12; Insured Priority Mail $9; Insured First Class (small parts, decals etc) $5.  Canada:  Uninsured Priority Mail $12; Uninsured First Class $5.  Foreign: Uninsured Priority Mail $17.50, Uninsured first class $5.
