listed MofW and specialty cars: B&O, C&O, N&W (NS); NYC;

trp42 SOUTHEASTERN STATES Top of Page There's plenty of evidence for REA cars carrying the car types southeast, but no one south of N&W, B&O and C&O used them in their own express service--thus few would be expected in MofW service. MISSISSIPPI EXPORT had at least a caboose (JL) and Illinois Central camp cars (JL)Aberdeen Carolina & Western Kitchen car (ex-original NS MofW) on display at Spencer NC museum. |

can link to Greg Adams' photo from MIDWESTERN. Wabash MofW bunk cars in Heimburger's WABASH book are dark with white lettering. My own slides & memory have them boxcar red. Dick Yager remembers some green ones and others remember yellow though I've not come up with photos on those. trp47 CANADIAN and MEXICAN Top of Page Previously mentioned roads are: ON; PGE (BC); and Algoma Central GTW is listed under mid-western which suggests the
possibility of CNR MofW cars. JL lists a photo of FERROCARRIL SONORA BAJA CALIFORNIA camp cars. We have heard scattered, vague, references to other Mexican appearances. |
